Alan Giblin has over 35 years of experience as a career development practitioner and career transition specialist. He has worked in the Vocational Education & Training sector (as a Counsellor in TAFE), the rehabilitation field and in private practice. As a career coach he has helped people in all walks of life to find clarity, meaning and fulfilment in their lives through being true to their core values, personality and interests. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Social Science (majoring in psychology) and is also an accredited user of both the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator personality instrument and the Strong Interest Inventory. He has developed his own successful career consultancy in the Hunter and Central Coast region of NSW since 2002 and specialises in career direction, educational planning, resume writing, job search coaching, outplacement and human resources. He has consulted to individuals, groups, not-for-profit organisations and large corporations. Although he is primarily based in Newcastle, he also offers virtual consultations (via Zoom) for clients outside of Newcastle.
