Hello, I'm Ali a career counsellor and the founder of Workpants. Our purpose to help people design work that fits. Where we really shine is supporting workplace parental leave programs with career counselling for new parents. Maybe like me, you’re struggling to recall if you got any career education at school. Career development theory has increasingly evolved from an “expert” telling us what we should do, to a “facilitator” to support us with strategies to take matters into our own hands. Workpants is your support crew, and it start's with me. My background is in marketing, communications, education and learning design and over the years I've worked with a range of folks - from small family businesses to Silicon Valley tech giants, with government agencies and the private sector. My early career featured many jobs where cheap black polyester stretch pants made up the lower half of my uniform. These days I’m all about comfort and pockets. The home of Workpants is the lands and waters of the Kabi Kabi people, also known as the glorious Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia, but our virtual approach means we work with people far and wide.
