Google "Career Confident" to read over 400 five star client reviews. I am very friendly and grounded with a positive “glass half full” approach to life and my work. As a careers practitioner and published writer and careers commentator, I write regularly for The Herald Sun, The Adelaide Advertiser, The Brisbane Courier Mail, The Sydney Telegraph, Good Universities Australia, Independent Schools Victoria, Ethical Jobs, Pro Bono Australia and others. I have over 25 years' experience working in senior administrative, program management and strategic public relations roles across the careers, tertiary education, law, not for profit and government sectors. I am the Director of Career Confident, a careers consultancy service in Melbourne’s south east focused on providing students and adults with one-one career and job support including careers counselling. I have postgraduate qualifications in Career Development and Adolescent Counselling. My specialist knowledge of the university sector, law and other professional industries and my extensive dealings with employers has proven a strong resource when helping clients. In recent years, I have helped people from diverse cultural and educational backgrounds and ages including; secondary and tertiary students, graduates, people returning to the workforce after parental leave or illness, career changers, job seekers and those looking to diversify their work portfolio or transition to fractional work arrangements. See the Career Confident website for more information. I gain considerable satisfaction helping people help themselves and manage their working lives in a “real life” context where well-being is important and success is personally defined. I worked for many years at the University of Melbourne’s Law School helping students, most recently as the School’s Career Programs Consultant. In addition to my private careers practice, I consulted to the Society of Construction Law Australia for over five years overseeing their national mentoring program. Previous positions I have held include; Director of Research and Administration with a Victorian Parliamentary Committee in the area of crime prevention. As a volunteer, I mentored students and have served as Vice-President at my son’s athletics club. I would be delighted to help anyone who needs career assistance.
