Helen Strickland is the founder of Strickland Solutions, a business which provides a range of business and career management consulting services. She has strong management and leadership experience in education, career development, employment, regional development and community organisations. Helen has extensive Board experience in regional health, education, training and regional development settings, and currently in the banking and fishing industries. She has been a CDAA National Executive Committee member for 6 years. She has leadership experience in schools, including as a principal in primary and secondary school settings. Prior to creating her own business Helen initiated and managed the Career Development Centre in Mount Gambier in 2006, which has become the model for community based career development in South Australia. She is particularly interested in building community understanding and commitment to a culture of career development, with a broad perspective of the need to engage and support all age groups in managing their career, so that they can manage multiple career transitions.
