Susan is a career development practitioner with over 20 years experience working with clients in the public and private sector to achieve their goals. She is a professional member of CDAA as well as a Level 4 Counsellor with ACA, a social work AASW and a qualified teacher and trainer qualifications. With a whole of life focus, Susan is passionate about assisting her clients to find purpose and meaning in life with a special focus on career transitions and changes. Her counselling style is sensitive and non-judgemental with an emphasis on the importance of self awareness and confidence building whilst focusing on goals, passions and purpose. There is no doubt that the job market is changing and an awareness of these changes and the different pathways available to achieve chosen goals is vital. Presentation skills are important and knowing how to address selection criteria and write cover letters and resumes that get attention of the employers provides a way forward towards the interview stage. Coaching and encouragement encourages confidence to overcome perceived barriers to successful outcomes. Training in successful interview techniques and practice through using role plays may assist success. Opportunity awareness, professional development and networking may provide creative choices and pathways towards success.
